Level 2 NVQ Spectator Safety Steward

We are looking for Event Stewards who already hold their Level 2 in Spectator Safety to work at events in Manchester. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at a multitude of events such as sporting events, concerts, and festivals. Transport may occasionally be available to events around the country when needed.However, you must be able to work some Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday shifts (but not necessarily every week).

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Welcoming all visitors to the venue/ event
  • Dealing with any queries and offering additional information regarding the event
  • Checking access passes (where applicable)
  • Showing fans to their seats, toilets bars & Catering
  • Helping to direct flow of foot traffic
  • Providing emergency evacuation messages and assisting with disorder
  • Offer an excellent level of customer service to ensure the smooth running of the event
  • Remembering emergency code words, fire and first aid procedures
  • Being the eyes and ears of the event and ensuring the safety team have the information they require
  • Assisting the car parking teams in parking cars and coaches at events

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Level 2 (or above) in Spectator safety
  • Previous customer service experience
  • You must have a good level of verbal and written English
  • The ability to react calmly in high pressured situations

As an Event Steward you must hold a valid Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety certificate.

  • Proof of identity, including passport, right to work, visas and any work permits (if applicable)
  • Proof of address (letter dated within the last three months)
  • Your driving license (if applicable)
  • Your Level 2 NVQ Spectator Safety Certificate
  • Standard enhanced DBS

 Hours of work:

Shift times will vary on each event, early and late shifts will be available.

All work is offered on a casual basis giving you flexibility to work around your current commitments.

Rate of pay:

The hourly rate will be £12.00ph.
